J. Tex – Misery 180g Vinyl(12″) LIMITED 500 Copys
Looking back on summer 2008, Rob from Heptown Records and I had the idea of making a solo album of the music I had been playing on our road trips together the last few years. Rob and his great gang of volunteers, them selling Hot Rod magazines, blue jeans, t–shirts and music, we call it the “Heptown lifestyle”, and me playing the music. And we were selling my albums on these trips, meeting folks that loved the true country sound. We always had a place to stay and a warm beer to drink.
When possible we brought along my band, J.Tex & the Volunteers, but much too often the costs ran too high, so going solo or as a duo proved to be an inexpensive way of getting out there meeting folks, playing the songs and having great fun.
By 2008 J.Tex & the Volunteers had already made two albums with Heptown Records. This time we wanted to catch that special summer night feeling we had experienced, a feeling that includes music, dust, old-time cars and a great crowd. And to make it just right, we found the greatest little studio located in an old schoolhouse near Lund, Sweden. The studio is now known as “House on the Hill” with Carl Granberg as the man in charge.
These twelve songs were recorded in three days. I asked my best and oldest buddy, Frank Borg, bass/banjo player and singer-songwriter, to cross the sea that third and final day and join in on this album. Andi Almqvist, a Swedish singer-songwriter from Malmö and also a dear friend, came by, making the song “Union Army” sparkle with his voice and musical talent. To make the day just perfect, Svante Sjöblom joined the party and was thrown in on “One of these days”. All in all, this album was made in the true family & good friends way. I hope you will enjoy this album. And that not only this album, but all music you may listen to, will shine on you and make every day a better day.
Music Rules!

Cherry Overdrive – Our Sound (7″)
[7" Vinyl]
49.00SEK
Cherry Overdrive took some time out of their touring schedule last fall and decided to spend it in the studio. They came up with this brilliant 7″, “Our Sound”. The EP contains two tracks of loud rock ‘n roll coloured with 60s garage and 70s stone rock.
With “Our Sound” Cherry Overdrive gives a taste of what direction the band is taking on their follow-up to “Clear Light” (Heptown Records, 2007) which is planned for 2009.

The Scandinavian surfers that already have made their own mark within the surfing circles of SURF since 2001. It’s been two years since their latest release ‘Tick…Tick…Tick…’ that proved the band to be a serious contender in writing and performing modern instrumentals that would make your hifi-stereo A GO-GO!! This time around the band begin where they left off by introducing you to half an hour of goosebumps and hair raising instro-surf. Cherry Overdrive – Reptiles
Cherry Overdrive – Reptiles
[7" Colored Vinyl]
49.00SEK
Cherry Overdrive have allready made an impression off themselves in the danish and german underground rock scene. Through hard work, charming ways and straight, powerfull garage rock with a 60s twist this band is steadily gaining ground in ever larger contexts. On their german tour in august 2006 Cherry Overdrive headlined the Sauzipf Rocks rock festival in Sauzipf, Austria.
Cherry Overdrive was signed after the guys from Heptown Records have heard only five minutes worth of their outstanding show case at Radiohuset Rocker at Denmark National Radio in the spring 2006 to which the band had been invited by Jan Sneum, long standing nestor of underground rock on danish national radio.
Reptiles has been recorded by Ralph Rjelly in the Black Tornado studio in Copenhagen. It was then mastered by Willi Dammeier at the Institut Für Wohlklangforschung in Hannover. The cover art artist for Reptiles is none other than Jet Black Combo’s own whacho-on-stage lead singer Kalle Metz. The Cherry Overdrive was photographed for the cover by Malle Madsen.

Untamed – Strange Unknown (LP)
Untamed – Strange Unknown (LP)
Sequels are usually weaker than the original, but “Strange Unknown” improves on already documented truimphs and conquests as the thirteen rock’n'roll nitro parasites eat their way into your defenseless skull. The Untamed are seasoned creatures of the Copenhagen rock’n'roll and punkrock scene (The Burnouts, Hellvis Deadly, Jetsons etc.) but age sure hasn´t mellowed our funloving fiends. Nope, the sound is meaner, rawer and more carnivorous, literally, just listen to the first single “The Cannibal King”, a track so fierce Reverend Horton-Heat would’ve sold his soul and sideburns to write an equal.
Track listing:
SIDE A:
1. The Cannibal King
2. Villagers With Torches
3. Roadkill
4. The Coughin’ Killers
5. Postcard From The Grave
6. Tears In Dead Eyes
SIDE B:
1. Zouweena – Queen Of The Jungle
2. Nocturne Girl
3. Meat Me At Midnight
4. The Kissin I’ll Be Missin
5. Monster Under My Bed
6. Don’t Be A Tease
7. The Cat Is Back!

Untamed – Cannibal King
It might be a cold night for alligators in Texas, but here in Copenhagen its a hot dawn for ghouls and ghoulettes. Its the dawn of the long awaited sequel to The Untamed’s debut album, “Eerie Stories” (Heptown Rec. ´03), which established the three headed twang monster as one of Denmark’s most exciting combos both on wax and at the live venues in Northern Europe.
The videotrack as the first single “The Cannibal King”, from the upcoming album “Strange Unknown”, a track so fierce Reverend Horton-Heat would’ve sold his soul and sideburns to write an equal. Marco Burro’s scorching guitar tears new assholes in the ozone layer, yet his singing and hollering has never sounded more superior and catchy. His wife Helle Hellcat’s piledriving bass erupts in volcanic explosions, and Jakob’s rabid caveman voodoo drums perfectly completes this lethal rhythm section.
Track listing:

1. Cannibal King

1. Graveyard Rats
2. Little Sister
